Iam standing in the basement of a restaurant, feeling the fear. Before me are two doors, marked with logos. One is a circle with a crossed line pointing down; the other, a circle with an arrow pointing off to the right. Of course, I should be able to tell which is which. But down here in the gloom, I am uncertain. I look at my phone, anxiously. Naturally there’s no signal down here. I can’t check.

The Royal Public Health Society is behind Scroll Free September, which is targeting users of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat.

The Hutsul region of Ukraine, or "Hutsulschyna," is located in the southeast Ukrainian Carpathians to the southwest of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia, the main access points. The largest towns in the region are Dilyatyn, Kosiv, Kuty, Vyzhnytsia, Vorokhta, Yabluniv, Rakhiv, and Yaremcha.

Wild Swans - a book by Jung Chang

Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China is a family history that spans a century, recounting the lives of three female generations in China, by Chinese writer Jung Chang. First published in 1991, Wild Swans contains the biographies of her grandmother and her mother, then finally her own autobiography. The book won two awards: the 1992 NCR Book Award and the 1993 British Book of the Year. The book has been translated into 37 languages and sold over 20 million copies.
